WAUKEGAN, ILLINOIS. I always remembered the Ortiz Store at the Belvidere Mall from an early childhood. Seeing all candy from Mexico and Central American countries always enticed me as a little kid. It wasn't until recently that I learned that their elote or corn is the best in Lake County, Illinois.

It wasn't until recently that I learned that their elote or corn is the best in Lake County, Illinois.
Today it bustles with the same happy faces especially on busy Saturday morning. I"m fortunate to know this neighborhood treasure. The Fruit cups are everything!
